The last Witness

The life of Jewish Samuel Willenberg is extraordinary enough to be made into an unparalleled documentary. As a young Jewish Pole, he was picked up and deported by Nazis during second world war. Willenburg is also the last person alive to recapture the famous mutiny of Nazi death camp Treblinka in 1943. As he once again visits the places of his journey through Poland, the unexpected heartwarming encounters with residents and other survivors trigger horrific memories.

The second world war is known as the war of Hitlers Nazi Germany in order to conquer the world during 1939 until 1945. During the war, millions of people perished by bombings, fights, starvation and deportation to labor camps and concentration camps. There were only 3 armed mutinies in the history of Nazi concentration camps. The first one was in Treblinka in august 1943, the second one in Sobibor in october 1943 and the third was in Birkenau in october 1944.
