Surviving Afghanistan

For years, soldiers from the country and NATO member Poland set out for the war in Afghanistan, including the five soldiers shown in this documentary film. However, all the training in the world could not prepare these Polish soldiers for their deployment. As is shown in the film, their stay in a military base in the Ghazni province will be an extreme experience verifying their notion of heroism. When they finally return to Poland, mental and emotional scars become visible.
