The man with a hundred children by Janic, Vuk

The Man with a Hundred Children is an intimate portrait of sperm donor Ed Houben and the women who wish to make use of his services. What motivates this man, Ed Houben? He is now the father of near a hundred of descendants! The world of sperm donation may seem artificial at times, talking clinically about prospective parenting, sperm test results, fertilization attempts, and successful pregnancies. Still, this abstract world has meanwhile brought forth thousands of real children. The portrait of this super sperm donor shows how social conventions put Ed and the prospective mothers to the test. In the end, Ed’s microcosm says a lot about our times, morals and society.
