Beautifully filmed, Salaam Isfahan documents the lives and feelings of normal people living under extraordinary circumstances during the Iranian presidential election in 2009. The interesting, personal conversations with Iranian citizens give the audience another experience of Iran, one that everyone can access and relate to, despite the foreignness of the circumstances. Subtle and respectful, director Sanaz Azari gives a voice to the individuals of Isfahan.
