Nostalgia for death by Gieling, Ramon

Death tends to be something mysterious and yet interconnected with life itself. The Mexicans have a special relationship with death. Their way of dealing with death and the dead is based on old rituals of the Aztecs. The customs of the contemporary Mexican indigenous people, which emphasize the importance of nature and animals, are widely spread among the Mexican population. For example, the day of the dead is a festive day for remembering dead relatives and loved ones. Following the stories of three Mexican citizens, this documentary shows their unique way of incorporating death in ones daily routine.
