Death in Gaza by Miller, James
After the second world war, the UN created a partition of Palestine, proposing a division of Palestine into two states, Jewish and Arab. The Arab world opposed the plan, arguing that it violated the rights of the majority of the (non-Jewish) people in Palestine. The Arab refusal to accept the partition plan led to the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. Jewish immigration into the land of Israel/Palestine increased the ongoing tensions between the Jewish and Arab population in the region. The Gaza strip and the West bank are part of the Palestinian territories and home millions of Palestinian refugees
The ongoing tensions between the Israeli and Palestinian governments highly affects the daily life of the inhabitants of the region. This documentary clearly shows the dangers Palestinian inhabitants are facing due to attacks on the Gaza strip by the Israeli military. On the other hand, Palestinian suicide bombers and other martyrs dying for Palestina are being worshipped by the majority of the Palestinian inhabitants.
