City of booze by Helmer, Ulrike A

Around 1880, at the height of the gin era gin, the Dutch city Schiedam had 441 distilleries. From Africa to South America people drunk the Schiedam Gin. The documentary "City of Booze 'is a poetic search for the traces left behind by gin in Schiedam; the ambivalence of the illustrious and glorious past of this once "black" city on the river Maas. Three special heirs, deeply rooted in Schiedam, of this gin history, are taking us into their personal 'Gin Story'.
