In Belgium, France and many other European countries, delivery is in the hands of specialists and takes frighteningly often place in hospitals. Childbirth without medical intervention is seen as high-risk. But why do we look at it this way? Is it possible to give birth in the natural modus? Is it still possible today, when the conditions are good for the child and mother to give birth without surgery?
