Story
‘The Island of Lost Children‘ is based around the lives of children in Tipitapa prison, the largest correctional facility in Nicaragua, who are taking a film course. For an assignment they are asked to film their daily lives in prison. The hard conditions, the crimes they committed and the depression suffered by some are all featured in their work. The goal of their work is to bring their message to those outside the prison’s walls.
